Ningbo International Fashion Trade Fair is an A-Level Exposition  approved by Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China, Chinese Most Influencial Exposition and an important activity of Ningbo International Clothing Festival.Ningbo International Fashion Trade Fair, with “popular fashion, international color” as the theme, “internationalization, branding,  specialization, marketization as the trend, bases on the principle of “building the famous clothing city in China”. Lots of products shows, industrial cooperation and trend distribution activities are held to make Ningbo into the base of manufacturing textile clothing, the center of communication, the window of posting information.
Ningbo is the cradle of garment industry in modern times, the first suit, the first Chinese tunic suit  were made in Ningbo,  the first tailor shop of Chinese were started in Ningbo too. Nowadays Ningbo has become Chinese biggest bases for manufacturing garment, building own garment brands and exporting garment. There are more than 3000 clothes production enterprises in Ningbo and 1.5 billion suits are made every year which occuopies 13% of national clothes production capacity. In 2006, the total export of clothes reached 6.32 billion US dollars, which increased by 27.4% compared with the same time of the last year.There are 7 famous trademarks appeared in Ningbo, they are: YOUNGER, FIRS, ROMON, ROUSE, PEACE BIRD, PROGEN. And there are 16 other famous brands such as GIANT EAGLE and 5 key exporting brands supported by Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.
